Revolutionizing the publishing industry

In 2011, the eBooks Patagonia publishing house was the first in the country to launch a book in digital format and on printed paper simultaneously. It was the book “Voces -30, nueva narrative chilena 2011”. The same day was available in paper libraries in Chile and digital for download on Amazon’s Kindle, as well as in stores in Mexico, Spain, the United States and Chile.

In this way, the Chilean company made its way as a provider of digital solutions for the Latin American and world publishing industry. Today it works with more than 70 publishing labels from 7 different countries such as Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, the United States and Canada.

Its work focuses on the outsourcing of the digital area of publishers through EPUB layout, development of interactive reader development apps, global distribution of ebooks in the most important sales platforms such as Amazon, iBookstore and GooglePlay, and printed books through Print On Demand.

They also work directly with writers through self-publishing services, with more than three hundred authors currently published.

One of its most outstanding products is “El Tigre”, an application that allows educational institutions and companies to deliver ebooks with DRM in a simple and direct way through username and password. This service works like “White Label” and they export it to a digital book company in Brazil that uses its technology.

Thanks to the positioning they have achieved in the world of letters, since 2010 they have attended the most important book fairs that have been developed in different countries. In fact, every year they participate in the International Book Fair of Guadalajara (FIL) in Mexico, the most important in Latin America.

Its general director, Javier Sepúlveda Hales, has given talks and moderated tables in the seminars of this event on digital issues in the publishing industry. In addition, the executive was appointed ambassador of the Business Club of the Frankfurt Book Fair, Germany, in 2015 along with 10 other people from around the world.
